Sally was born in 2014 and has a younger brother.  Her mother was just a teenager when she was sexually abused, resulting in the birth of Sally. her mother works as a housemaid to try and provide for her family. The children live with there grandmother.

Martha was  born in 2006 and has three sisters plus a brother. her parents are peasant farmers on a small plot of land, they work hard but the income and crop yield is insufficient to cover the family's basic needs.

Vanessa was born in 2008 and has two sisters and two brothers. Her parents work as casual labour on a tea plantation. The wages are very low and irregular, so they struggle to make ends meet.

Gay was born in 2008 and has four sisters, plus a brother. Her parents are peasant farmers on a small plot of land. The farm yield gives them food but there is nothing left for other basics.

Dawn was born in 2013 and has two sisters. Her parents are casual workers on farms or any other jobs they can find. Their wages are very low and irregular making it a tremendous struggle to just provide basics like food for the family.
