Deidre

Deidre was born in 2007 and is the youngest of 7 children, with her eldest siblings in secondary school. Her parents are subsistence farmers unable to pay for schooling and the school allows them to attend school without contributing.

Ellen

Ellen

Ellen was born in 2007 and is the 5th born in a family of 6 children. Her father has abandoned his responsibilities and left the family, with Ellen’s mother struggling to provide for herself and the children as a subsistence farmer.

Sharon

Sharon

Sharon was born in 2014 and is the youngest in this family of 5. Her parents are subsistence farmers and barely grow enough to feed the family, let alone having any left to sell. Sharon’s brothers are in school, but as a girl and as the youngest she is vulnerable to being denied an education.
