Rachael was born in 2009 and has 3 younger brothers Enoch, Alex and Ben. Her parents Violet and Abel work when they can as casual labourers on other people's small farms. The meagre wages they are paid and sporadic nature of the work means they are unable to provide for basic necessities and education for their children.
Benard was born in 2009 and has two sisters Mary and Bisiani and a brother Fred. His mother Jackline sells vegetables in the street market and his father Thomas is a casual labourer, when he can find work. They struggle.
Mary and Evans
Mary and Evans are twins born in 2015. They have three siblings, Zipporah, Chabet and Kevin and their parents are Josephine and Kefa. Their parents are casual labourers who have to move to find work and so they children are cared for, much of the time, by their grandmother Mary Obaigwa. The family is very poor and the children miss out on basics like regular meals and education essentials.
