Ezinah was born in 2008 and lives with her two brothers and her parents Jackline and Zachary. Her parents farm their small plot of land and do casual work when possible, however their income is seldom enough even just for the basics of food and clothes.
Joan Kwamboka Okongo
Joan was born in 2011 and she lives with her sister Purity and brother John who are both older than her. They live with their parents Lucy and Benard who farm a tiny plot of land and it is a continual struggle for them to make ends meet. They are desperate for their children to get a quality education.
Sturfford Jomo Ondieki
Sturfford was born in 2015 and he has an older sister Lydiah. They live with their parents Ann and Joseph. Sturfford really enjoys his time at school but with his parents struggling to make a living as peasant farmers the family often goes without the basics.
Zadrack Nyandika Makori
Zadrack was born in 2007 and is in the middle of 4 brothers - 2 older and 2 younger. Their father passed away a few years ago and their mother Rose gets casual work when and where she can to try and support the family. Because of financial pressure the children are often kept back from school.
Sarah Kwamboka Omeri
Sarah has two sister Divinah and Josephine, she is in Grade 2 at Excellence Academy. Sarah’s parents Mbera and Samwel work as casual labour on small farms when they can get a job and tend the tiny family plot on which they grow some food.
